Since Ancient Athens until today in the East of Antioquia, there has been a progress in the role of women. There have been transformations, both in the family and in the social field. In the family field there has not been a change in the concept of family but there has been a change in the role of women as a daughter, wife and mother. At present, in the 2015, the women have more autonomy because now they are supported by the law in order to implement actions more freely. In the social field, there has been a huge change. Today, the women can go to an university or school and access to public offices. These days, women have more economic independence, which contributes to the family economy, as is evident in the survey. There is another important aspect and is the fact that now, the marriage is not an economic arrangement, but rather an issue of love, a life shared and the decision-making as a couple to build a future.
Finally, with the realization of this project, we learned that the amenities women enjoy today, did not exist before, and that  has been a constant and arduous fight.
We also learned that despite all the difficulties and oppressions suffered by the women thousands of years before, this has helped the women to gain strength and fight for their freedom. This has been proven since antiquity because women have taken a decisive role in the family and social field. Although they are very few. they have always been revolutionary women who fight for the rights and make a difference. Now,  our commitment is to continue the transformation of the role of women, so that in a few years if anyone would want to do the same project as we did, could find many advances and changes in the role of women.
